My decolonization journey

My decolonization journey made me realize how little I knew about the world and my culture.

When people ask me about my decolonization journey I tell them that I got curious about my ancestors and their way of life before colonization. Re-connecting to these parts of history, that is meant to be forgotten and typically not taught in schools, helped me reconnect to my Filipina identity and ground in my mind, body and spirit.
