Turn your Pain into Purpose
How to turn your pain into power, and your power into Purpose.
These are a few of the steps that I walk my clients through to help them find their Purpose. Because everything and everyone on this earth has a Purpose. And we are all born with the ability to change someone’s life!
We often discount or overlook our unique superpowers because they come so naturally to us. Take a minute to honour your unique gifts! And if you’re having a hard time finding them then ask 5 friends what they love about you and what they think your superpowers are.
Fun fact about me - I only learnt how to express my emotions and use my voice in my late 30s. Prior to that I kept all of my emotions inside. I was raised to be a good catholic girl and taught that emotions was a sign of weakness, and lead to believe that using my voice was bad. So I repressed in all in hopes of being loved in exchange.
Then I got a divorce and said,”F*ck it. It’s my turn now!”
And I slowly started sharing my story in places and with people that felt safe, like Les Lilas Society. It felt very uncomfortable at first but I did it anyway and every time I felt decades of conditioning and projections of others peel away.
The more I shared, the more I found clarity in my story and my Purpose.
My advice: Practice in the mirror, practice with a friend. Sing. Join an improv class. Anything that can activate your throat chakra.
There are different roads to Find your unique Purpose. The obstacles and the challenges that you have experienced are clues to how you are meant to serve others.
Most non-western cultures live with a virtue of interconnectedness with the land and each other.
Filipinos have a virtue called KAPWA which essentially means that we are all connected! That there is no me without you and vice versa.
When I really started to understand and embody the virtue of KAPWA, I got more clarity on my Purpose!
